Your portal

Every aloon client gets one. Here is what happens the first time, and what is inside once you are in.

  1. An email arrives

Your portal is ready, and the email says so. It carries one link. That link works once and expires after three days, so if it has run out by the time you get to it, use the forgot password link on the sign in page and a fresh one arrives.

  2. You choose a password

At least ten characters. Setting it signs out every other device on the account, which is the point: the link that got you here stops working the moment you have a password of your own.

  3. You are in

There is no second sign in step. A short walkthrough runs once over your Overview and points at the parts you will actually use. You can replay it any time from Settings.

  4. Everything is in one place

Your project, your invoices, your documents and your agreements, on the left, in that order. Nothing is hidden behind a support request.

What the first screen says

The Overview is not a dashboard of charts. It is a page that answers the question you actually signed in with, which is where the work has got to.

Build is being built now.

That sentence, or whichever one is true this week, is the largest thing on the page. Under it is the arithmetic behind it: which stage of five the build is on, when it last moved, and how many days are left before launch.

Then what changed since you were last here, in one line. Then money, kept plain: paid to date, outstanding, and what the next payment is waiting on. Alongside it, once your system is live, its uptime, its last backup and its certificate.

The rest is a short list of what has happened lately, most recent first, each with the day it happened. Nothing on the page needs a support request to read, and nothing on it is a number without a sentence saying what the number means.

What each section is for

Project
Every stage of the build, in order. The current one is marked, and the line beneath says what happens next and who it is waiting on.
Invoices
Each invoice appears as a stage is billed. Payment is by bank transfer, then you upload the receipt and we confirm it.
Documents
Your handover pack, your files and everything you own, kept for as long as you need them.
Agreements
Anything that needs your signature waits here. You sign on screen and keep a copy.
My system
Once your system is live, its uptime, backups, domain and certificate are all watched from here.
Support and upgrades
Your plan, and the quickest way to reach us. Bugs in the original build are always fixed free.

If something goes wrong

I forgot my password
Use the forgot link on the sign in page. A reset arrives in a minute, works once, and expires in thirty. Asking for a new one stops the previous one working.
The link in my welcome email has expired
Welcome links last three days. Use forgot password on the sign in page and a fresh one is sent straight away.
I lost access to the email address it was sent to
There is no self service path for this, on purpose: an address is the one thing proving the account is yours. Write to aloon.info@gmail.com and a person moves it.
I have been locked out
Ten failed sign in attempts locks the account for a while as a precaution. It opens again on its own, and an email tells you it happened.
Can I change the address I sign in with
Settings, then Sign in email. The new address has to confirm itself first, and your current one keeps working until it does.
Will you ever ask me for my password
No. Not by email, not by phone, not by message. Anyone who does is not us.

Still stuck? Write to aloon.info@gmail.com and a person will help.
